Domestic removals throughout the UK

At Exeter Removers, we provide a comprehensive and professional removals service across the UK. Where ever you are moving to in the UK, we can help dismantle, pack and move your belongings with ease and efficiency.

An estimator will visit your home to make sure you know exactly how the removal will work, and provide you with a comprehensive quote. If we are unable to visit you at home, we can still provide you with a free quote.

Our packing service means we can pack all of your breakables and large objects safely, and we can provide a range of box sizes for all of your packing needs. This also includes wardrobe cartons and portable rails.

Our experienced team can dismantle and re-assemble all of your items for you, and place them in the correct positions in the right rooms so you can settle in as soon as possible.

If you need to store some items whilst you move, we can offer you a safe and secure storage facility , monitored 24-7.

A full inventory is always included with your removal, so that you know everything you need will arrive at your destination.

Thank you for a safe, efficient move, despite access difficulties. Friendly and helpful.
They made our move very easy.
Mark, Kev and Dave were excellent; courteous, professional, patient and with a great sense of humour! They really helped make the move less stressful - thank you!

To all

As of tonight, we at Exeter Removers will be locking up the lorries and putting away the boxes.  We want to look after all of our staff and all of our customers from the spread of the Coronavirus. We feel it would be totally irresponsible to put money before lives. We want everyone to stay home and stay safe.

You can contact us whenever you may feel the need either by phone or email at this difficult time, we will help, guide or advise where possible.

In the meantime please please take the government advice and stay at home. The next big thing we want to move is this Coronavirus out of the uk and the from the world

Please see attached the latest statement from our governing body, the BAR.

Member announcement

Dear Member,

Further to our recent announcements, I would like to take this opportunity to update you on what has been happening over the last couple of days. It has been encouraging to see how many of our Members have accepted the recommendation made, and who have already suspended their operations or will have done so by the end of this week at the latest. Those companies who have followed that advice are to be applauded for making what is clearly a very difficult decision and ‘doing the right thing’.

That said, the situation is now becoming intolerable for those (many) removals companies who have accepted the recommendation of the BAR. The key issue is that because solicitors and conveyancers are still actively planning completions, the public are still expecting to be moved on the appointed dates and there are sadly some moving companies, both BAR Members and non-BAR Members alike, who have ignored the advice given and who have chosen to continue operating as normal, or as near normal as is possible under the circumstances. Whatever the reasoning behind that decision it is, in our view, wrong and fraught with risk!

We need the government to mandate a complete halt to home moving for the duration and we need that now and to that end we have been, and remain, in direct correspondence to canvass for that outcome with the Minister for Housing, Communities and Local Government, the Minister for the Cabinet Office, the Law Society, the Conveyancing Society, the National Association of Estate Agents and the Governments Stakeholder Group for reviewing the house buying and selling processes in the UK!

The key point that we are emphasising is that although we understand that the solicitors, conveyancers and estate agents etc can all continue to fulfil their duties from home and by working remotely from each other, it is physically impossible for removals crews to ‘safe distance’ themselves from each other and/or their clients, fact! The longer that moves are allowed to continue, the greater the risk of transmission of the virus arising from a move crew or their customer. Neither the BAR nor its constituent Members want to look back on this period and regret the fact that people were made ill, or worse, because commercial considerations took priority over people. So, congratulations again to those businesses that have already taken the difficult decision to suspended operations, it is absolutely the right thing to have done, and I encourage any that haven’t to do so without further delay.

I will of course provide further updates as and when there is more information available to share.

Best wishes to all

Ian Studd
